Buffalo County home a total loss after early morning fire | News

BUFFALO COUNTY (WQOW) – A home in Buffalo County is a total loss after a fire early Wednesday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, it happened at a home on Wittig Road in the town of Canton. The only two people present in the house and their pets were able to get out.

Crews believe the fire started in the garage due to a known electrical problem before spreading to the home, officials said. The property is considered a total loss.

The 911 call came in at 2:10 a.m. and units left the scene around 5:45 a.m.
