1 dead, 1 injured after shooting in Oakland – NBC Bay Area

Oakland police are investigating a shooting Tuesday night that left one man dead and another injured in East Oakland.

At around 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 10500 block of Foothill Boulevard to investigate reports of a shooting.

When they arrived, they found a man with at least one gunshot wound who was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The second man was admitted to hospital a short time later and his condition is stable, police said.

Both are described as residents of Oakland, but neither man’s name has been released.
