Woman arrested again for attempted child abduction in Los Angeles park

A Southern California woman who was previously arrested on suspicion of kidnapping a child from a Target store was arrested again on similar charges on Tuesday.

The suspect was identified as 27-year-old Yara Vanessa Pineda, according to Los Angeles police.

Officers arrived at Seoul International Park in the 3200 block of San Marino Street in the Koreatown neighborhood at around 5:14 p.m.

Witnesses said Pineda approached and picked up several children in the park before letting them go after their parents confronted him.

The woman was also reportedly seen arguing with her parents.

Pineda fled the area before police arrived. An LAPD blimp spotted the woman as she ran out of the park toward Normandie Avenue.
