Man turns himself in to Donna police in alleged Houston murder

DONNA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A Pasadena resident wanted for murder was arrested by the Donna Police Department after turning himself in to authorities Wednesday afternoon.

Roberto Madrigal, 30, turned himself in to police around 3:20 p.m.

Donna police said Madrigal was wanted for a murder in Houston.

According to the City of Houston, Madrigal was wanted for fatally shooting a man and injuring another person on December 27, 2023.

The deceased victim is identified as 33-year-old Jahmar Sampson.

The 180th State District Court in Houston charged Madrigal with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Madrigal was released into the custody of the US Marshals for extradition.
