This week, a person was arrested who police say is connected to a shooting over the weekend.

The suspect, a minor, turned himself in to police around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, San Rafael police Lt. Scott Eberle said. His name was not released because of his age. He is believed to be a friend or accomplice of the shooter, who is still at large, Eberle said.

The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. Saturday on D Street when an argument between neighbors escalated and one person pulled out a firearm and shot another person, Eberle said.

Both parties then got into cars and members of the targeted group pursued the shooter to B Street, where both drivers crashed into parked cars. The shooter then fired several shots, striking a member of the targeted group, Eberle said. Two suspects were then seen running from the scene. The victim was taken to a local hospital.

The suspect was booked into the Marin County Juvenile Detention Center on suspicion of conspiracy and aiding and abetting.
