Catawissa man dies on Memorial Day after motorcycle crash | Accidents

A Catawissa man died in a motorcycle crash Monday evening, May 27, on I-55 north of South Lindbergh Boulevard in St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 5:50 p.m., 38-year-old Ronald W. Moore III was riding a 2015 Harley-Davidson Street Glide northbound when the motorcycle veered off the right side of the road, struck a railing and he was ejected, the report said.

The Mehlville Fire Protection District took Moore to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was pronounced dead at 7:41 p.m., the report said.

According to the report, Moore was wearing a state-approved safety helmet and the motorcycle was a total loss.
