Nationwide alert for missing Native American woman from Minnesota

Moorhead, MN (KROC-AM News) – A statewide missing person alert has been issued for a Minnesota woman.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension reports that Moorhead police are asking the public for help in locating 45-year-old Melissa Lohnes. Officials say the Moorhead was last seen early this morning in South Moorhead and it is possible she is traveling with him, an unknown acquaintance, toward Sisseton, South Dakota.

She is described as Native American, approximately 5’3″ tall, 175 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a navy blue shirt and gray pants.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Red River Dispatch Center at 701-451-7660.

This is the second alert the BCA has issued this week at the request of Moorhead Police.
