50 Cent files lawsuit against Daphne Joy

On Monday (May 6), Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson took on Joy in court. According to available documents XXL On Tuesday (May 7), Fif filed a defamation lawsuit against Joy in Harris County District Court in Texas. The lawsuit claims that 50’s lawyers sent a cease-and-desist letter to Joy asking her to retract her Instagram post in which she accused the Queens rapper of beating and raping her. She reportedly refused and instead demanded millions of dollars to remove the post and also demanded $50 to drop his custody battle for their son, Sire.

50 is seeking more than $1 million in the lawsuit, claiming the false claim could adversely affect his business relationships.

50 Cent’s lawyers have released a statement on the matter XXL about the new lawsuit.

“Despite having ample opportunity to retract a false and malicious accusation of retaliation, Ms. Narvaez (Daphne Joy) shamefully chose to disrupt her 11-year-old son’s relationship with his loving father by falsely calling him a ‘rapist.’ “The statement is: “The motivation behind this appears to be Ms. Narvaez’s unfortunate involvement and her misplaced loyalty to Mr. Combs, who we believe was behind this attack and about whom Mr. Jackson has warned Ms. Narvaez and others for many years.”

Daphne Joy makes serious claims against 50 Cent

50 Cent and Daphne Joy were together from 2011 to 2012 and have a son together named Sire, who was born in September 2012. The former couple’s recent troubles were sparked after Daphne Joy was named in an amended bombshell lawsuit filed against Diddy by producer Rodney “Lil Rod.” Jones in March. In the lawsuit, Jones named Joy and Yung Miami as Diddy’s sex workers. 50 Cent responded to the news by ridiculing Joy for the accusation. He then immediately filed for custody of Sire. That same day, in an IG post that can still be found on her page, Joy accused 50 of abusing and sexually assaulting her during their relationship.

“I am tired of maintaining and protecting an image for our son that you never deserved,” Joy wrote in part. “Let’s put the real focus on your true evil deeds of raping and physically abusing me. You are no longer my oppressor and my God will deal with you from this point forward. You permanently destroyed the last hope I had for you as a father. To protect our family with these final and final false allegations against me, you broke our hearts for the last and final time.

50 Cent responded by denying the allegations in a statement released on XXL.

“The disturbing allegations in the affidavits filed in a recent court case involving Daphne Joy, the mother of my 12-year-old child, have forced me to take all necessary legal action to protect my son Sire,” it said it in the statement. “Daphne Joy’s recent false and unfounded allegations are clearly a response to my decision to seek sole custody of my son. My son Sire is my main priority and keeping him in a safe environment is my only focus at this time.”

XXL has reached out to 50 Cent’s rep for comment.
