Glenview man charged with sexual abuse of minor: police

The 39-year-old is said to have sexually abused the underage acquaintance on Sunday in a house in Glenview, police said.

GLENVIEW, IL — A 39-year-old Glenview man is accused of sexually assaulting an underage female acquaintance at a Glenview home last weekend. Marcos Sanchez-Hernandez, 39, was charged with sexual assault and sexual battery and had a Lake County warrant for his arrest for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving under the influence.

Sanchez-Hernandez was scheduled to appear in court for a bond hearing on Wednesday.

Police responded to the home on Sunday after witnesses reported that Sanchez-Hernandez had sexually abused the minor. Sanchez-Hernandez reportedly fled the home before police arrived.

On Monday at 5:35 p.m., Sanchez-Hernandez was found in the 200 block of Monroe Road in Des Plaines and taken into custody.
