1 hospitalized after police shooting in Portland

PORTLAND, Oregon – A man was hospitalized after being injured in a police shooting early Wednesday morning, the Portland Police Bureau (PBB) said.

At approximately 5:05 a.m., detectives from the Portland Police Bureau’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, along with the Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT), executed a search warrant in the 2700 block of Northeast 137th Avenue. The PPB said there was then an “encounter” between a man and police officers that resulted in a shooting.

The man was injured and taken to a local hospital, PPB said. His current condition is unknown.
