WeatherWise Warning: Multiple chances of severe storms through midweek

Damaging wind, hail, lightning and isolated flooding are the main threats

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Attention, Carolinas! Isolated strong storms are possible until midweek. Not one round, but two.

TIMED COORDINATION:
WAVE 1: Wednesday afternoon – evening
Wave 2: Overnight stay from Wednesday to early Thursday

EFFECTS:
Damaging wind, hail, lightning and isolated flooding are the primary threats, but there is also a small threat of tornadoes.

Now is a good time to download the free WCCB WeatherWise app. Click here. In addition to the app, you also need another way to receive alerts. NOAA Weather Radio is a great resource.

First we need to get through the warmest day of the week…Wednesday. Maximum temperatures are expected to reach 90°C for the first time this year. If the humidity is high before the cold front, it will get even hotter.
