Early Tuesday morning, a security guard working at Drake’s Toronto mansion was injured in a drive-by shooting Sun Reports. According to the newspaper, a 48-year-old man was hit by multiple shots while standing outside the gates around 2 a.m. He was taken to a nearby hospital for surgery Sun says they are not life-threatening wounds.

Drake is reportedly uninjured and police have not been able to confirm whether he was in the $100 million home, located in an affluent neighborhood called Bridle Path. Toronto Police divided on X that the suspect “fled in a vehicle” and there were no arrests. During a news conference Tuesday morning, police said there was no known motive, but the incident comes amid a weeks-long feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, with each man accusing the other of abuse. According to police, gun violence in Toronto is 63 per cent higher than this time last year.

Drake’s team is reportedly cooperating with authorities and police said the shooting was captured on video. In a statement, Toronto police told the Cut that the victim is still in hospital and the investigation is ongoing.
