Construction worker in San Antonio dies in ‘regrettable accident’

SCHERTZ, Texas – A construction worker was killed in an “unfortunate accident” at a construction site in Schertz, police said.

According to Schertz police, the victim was at a location in the 17000 block of Tejas Way, off I-35, when he was killed around 4:24 p.m. Tuesday.

According to authorities, the victim has not yet been identified, but we do know he is a 40-year-old worker at Yantis Construction, a company based in San Antonio.

Police said the company is cooperating with the investigation. Officials said the man was working at a construction site when he died.

Although police did not say what exactly happened to him, they called it an “unfortunate accident.”

The incident is currently being investigated by Schertz Police and OSHA.
