Man shot dead after entering neighbor’s home on Walnut Park Drive in Philadelphia’s East Oak Lane neighborhood

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A 30-year-old man was shot dead by his neighbor in the East Oak Lane neighborhood of Philadelphia.

According to police, the man entered the basement of his 50-year-old neighbor’s home in the 6500 block of Walnut Park Drive through the back door on Tuesday.

The neighbor fired a shot and hit the man in the stomach. He was taken to Einstein Hospital, where he died.

According to police, the homeowner remained on site and is cooperating with police.

The homicide squad is investigating the crime scene.
