Monroe County teacher accused of sexually abusing children worked in Geneva – Finger Lakes Daily News

A week ago, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arrested Robert Petit, a substitute teacher in the Churchville-Chili School District, who was accused of sexually abusing students in March 2023. Now comes news that Petit worked in the Geneva School District, specifically at North Street School, during the 2022-2023 school year.

Geneva Police say the investigation is ongoing with assistance from the Ontario County Prosecutor’s Office and the Child Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes. Police say they will release more information as it becomes available.

In Monroe County, Petit was charged with 11 counts of sexual abuse and half a dozen counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
