Texas County woman arrested for assault

Houston, Missouri – According to a recent press release from the Texas County Sheriff’s Department, a Houston woman was arrested for assault after hitting someone with a broom.

This began shortly after midnight on Saturday, May 25, when Texas County officials arrived at Texas County Memorial Hospital to speak with the victim of an assault. According to the victim, a woman hit them multiple times with a broom until the broom broke.

The suspect was identified as Tina M. Dow, 53, of Houston. Officers went to the residence where the incident occurred and a witness there corroborated the story. Dow was found at another residence and resisted arrest when told she was being taken into custody.

Dow is being held in the Texas County Jail on $3,000 bail. Charges include second-degree domestic violence and felony resisting arrest.
