16-year-old boy arrested after fatal shooting at Anaheim liquor store – Orange County Register

A 16-year-old boy suspected of shooting a man in the parking lot of an Anaheim liquor store was arrested over Memorial Day weekend, police said Tuesday.

The shooting, which police believe was gang-related, occurred on Friday, May 24, in the 900 block of South Anaheim Boulevard. Jesse Barragan, a 38-year-old Anaheim man, was found unconscious and with at least one gunshot wound in the parking lot of a liquor store. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Anaheim police said in a statement.

On Sunday, May 26, police arrested the 16-year-old boy in Garden Grove on suspicion of murder. Due to his age, his identity was not released.
