An investigation is underway in Hartford after a car crashed into a pole that fell on pedestrians

HARTFORD, Connecticut (WTNH) – A section of Main Street in Hartford was closed after witnesses said a man drove his car into a light pole Tuesday evening, causing it to fall on nearby pedestrians.

According to police, an arrest was made around 9:30 p.m. and three passers-by were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Witnesses at the scene of the accident described the driver as possibly being under the influence of a substance.
