A worker fatally injured at the Schertz construction site

SCHERTZ, Texas – A construction worker has died after a tragic accident at a construction site.

On Tuesday around 4:30 p.m., Schertz police and fire and rescue personnel responded to calls near the corner of Tejas Wy and Doerr Lane.

When police arrived, they found a 40-year-old Hispanic man who had been fatally injured in an industrial accident.

The Yantis Construction Company, which oversaw the construction site, cooperated with investigators.

The incident is being investigated by Schertz Police and OSHA.
