Teenager shot dead in Atlanta’s Oakland City neighborhood: police

ATLANTA — A 15-year-old boy was shot multiple times Monday evening in Atlanta, police said.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to the 1200 block of Princess Avenue SW in reference to a person shot shortly after 9 p.m. When they arrived, they found a 15-year-old boy with multiple gunshot wounds to his lower back. The teen was sent to hospital and was “alert, conscious and breathing,” meaning he is expected to survive his injuries.

Investigators from the Aggravated Assault Unit attended the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. This is an active investigation, police said.
