Three-vehicle crash leaves one dead in rural Eaton County.

LANSING, Michigan (WLNS) – One person is dead in a three-vehicle crash near the intersection of W. Lawrence Highway and Bradley Rd. in Kalamo Township.

Sergeant Josh Popa of the Eaton County Sheriff’s Department told 6 News that emergency crews were dispatched to the scene at around 3:55 p.m. Upon arrival, a three-vehicle crash was discovered. The crash involved a cement truck, a pickup truck and a smaller vehicle.

One person is dead, says Popa, one person suffered “minor injuries,” and the other was unharmed.

The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.

Popa says M-79 will remain closed to through traffic between Ainger Rd. and Lacey Lake Rd. until the crash investigation is complete. He expects the investigation to be completed and cleanup to be complete by around midnight.
