Woman killed in Yerington house fire

YERINGTON, Nev. (KOLO) – A woman is dead after becoming trapped in a burning home in Yerington on Monday. Just before midnight, firefighters responded to a home on Spence Lane. A woman and two children managed to escape from the house. One man was able to escape, but suffered serious burn injuries and was flown to hospital.

Jessica Canterbury, 36, was trapped in the house. Firefighters found her remains after extinguishing the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
