A delegation from LBC participates in the Houston OTC

A delegation of oil sector businessmen from the Libyan Business Council (LBC) has arrived to participate in the OTC exhibition (May 6-9) in Texas, Houston, the LBC media department informed. Herald of Libya Today.

The visit of more than 100 Libyan delegates, including from various chambers of commerce, is led by AmCham Libya President, Debbie Hirst. Hirst, LBC’s media department said, assisted with presentations and networking, and helped explain to U.S. companies the potential for investment in Libya’s oil sector.

While Libyan businessmen have regularly attended the OTC either individually or through the various Libyan Chambers of Commerce over the past years, the LBC said this was the first official visit from AML to OTC.

This, he adds, is proof that the Libyan private sector is eager to cooperate with American companies in the sector.

In April, Hirst said Libyan Herald: “We are very excited for the group to participate in the OTC this year. This is the second year we have supported a delegation, and this year’s group is much larger than last, so we are happy with the growing interest.
