Police investigate inappropriate incident involving youths on Weir Street North

Hamilton Police continue to investigate an incident involving a suspicious vehicle and person that occurred yesterday in the area of ​​Weir Street North and Roxborough Avenue and are asking anyone with information to contact police.

On Monday, May 27, 2024, at approximately 4:20 p.m., it was reported that a van or SUV-like vehicle was traveling on Weir Street North between Roxborough Avenue and Britannia Avenue when the driver approached a juvenile and engaged in an inappropriate conversation with him.

The suspect was described as follows:

• Male, brown
• About 30 years old
• Black hair

The suspect vehicle was described as follows:

• Gold/light brown color
• Van or SUV style

Police are asking residents in the area to check their CCTV between 4pm and 4.40pm for any suspicious behaviour or footage matching the vehicle and suspect descriptions provided. If you were driving in the area and have dashboard camera footage, please contact us.
