Beaver Dams man arrested for allegedly strangling someone

BEAVER DAMS, NY (WETM) — A Beaver Dams man is facing charges after allegedly strangling someone.

Thomas J. Winters, 28, was arrested on May 27 following an investigation into a domestic incident. According to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, Winters intentionally choked and injured another person. Authorities say Winters intentionally injured the person.

Winters was charged with second-degree strangulation (a class D felony) and third-degree assault (a class A misdemeanor).

The charges against Winters were read before the Centralized Arraignment Court and he was released.
