TRIPLE MURDER UNDER INVESTIGATION IN CENTERVILLE, SD





SOUTH DAKOTA ATTORNEY GENERAL MARTY JACKLEY SAYS A CENTERVILLE MAN HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH TRIPLE COUNTS OF FIRST DEGREE MURDER IN CONNECTION WITH THE SHOOTING OF THREE PEOPLE MONDAY EVENING IN CENTERVILLE.

JAY OSTREM, 64, IS HOLDING IN MINNEHAHA COUNTY PRISON ON MILLION DOLLAR BAIL.

The incident was reported at a residence in Centerville around 10 p.m. Monday evening.

JACKLEY SAYS LAW ENFORCEMENT HAS SECURED THE CRIME SCENE AND THERE IS NO FURTHER DANGER TO THE PUBLIC.

THE NAMES OF THE THREE VICTIMS HAVE NOT BEEN RELEASED UNTIL NEXT OF FUTURE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED.

The investigation is being led by the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation.
