APC suspends Ondo guber candidate Omogoroye

May 28, (THEWILL) – The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ode-Aye Ward 1, Okitipupa Local Government Area of ​​Ondo State has suspended Engr. Folake Omogoroye, a governorship candidate in the last primary election on April 20, 2024.

Similarly, four district heads were also suspended. They included Ayesan Tunde (Organising Secretary), Jemiken Seyi (Deputy PRO), Adebayo Omobayo (Deputy Social Secretary) and Eweje Omotayo (Deputy Treasurer).

Omogoroye’s suspension was contained in a letter signed by Akinsowola Awodele, the Chairman of Ode-Aye District 1, and 12 other executive members.

According to the letter, she was accused of “anti-party activities and blatant disobedience to the party’s constitutional authority.”

THEWILL reports that the gubernatorial candidate had petitioned the court for the annulment of the APC gubernatorial primaries that produced Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the candidate for the November gubernatorial election in Ondo State, alleging irregularities.
