Police identify man shot in Battle Creek apartment

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) – Authorities have released the name of the man shot to death in a Battle Creek apartment on Saturday.

On Tuesday, Battle Creek police identified the man as 21-year-old Tyshaan Williams.

The shoot happened Saturday at the Teal Run apartment complex on Horizon Drive near Capital Avenue SW.

Police found Williams with multiple gunshot wounds in the apartment where he was staying. He died at the scene.

It is not known what led to the shooting.

No information has been released regarding the suspect. BCPD does not believe the community is in danger.
