Delays are expected at the busy Moline intersection on Tuesday

MOLINE, Ill. – Moline commuters should expect delays at the intersection of 16th Street and Avenue of the Cities on Tuesday.

According to city officials, the traffic lights will flash red in all directions, essentially turning the intersection into a four-way stop. Officials believe it was a car accident.

Signals are expected to be restored and fully operational by the end of the day on Tuesday, according to a news release.

The City of Moline encourages drivers to plan ahead and use alternate routes.
