Boiler Alert – Talks about NCAA changes and Trey Kaufman race

This episode of the podcast was actually supposed to be released yesterday, but I was busy with my fatherly duties on Memorial Day. Instead, I’m going to release the latest episode of the podcast here today, a day late.

In this episode, Ryan and I look at the current TV networks for the football games so far. We know the locations of four games that involve three networks. Quick, name the CW broadcast crews! I’ll wait. I have no idea who’s doing these games or if it’s just going to be the guy from Smallville and maybe someone from the show about Archie. Either way, we’ll get to know them this year.

Then we’ll talk about changes at the NCAA that affect how players are paid and back pay for those who were recently student-athletes. It’s going to be an interesting world moving forward.

Finally, we talk about Trey Kaufman-Renn and his season, and what he needs to do moving forward. I get a little sentimental when I talk about Coach Brantley and why I think it’s great that he’s still at Purdue despite his obvious success as an assistant coach.
