FCT, Abuja – The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has suspended its governorship candidate, Engr. Folake Omogoroye.

The suspension was carried out by Ward 1 Ode-Aye of Okitipupa Local Government Area of ​​Ondo State.

The suspended district heads include Ayesan Tunde, Organising Secretary; Jemiken Seyi, Deputy Public Relations Officer; Adebayo Omobayo, Deputy Social Secretary and Eweje Omotayo, Deputy Treasurer.

Why APC suspended Ondo governorship candidate Omogoroye

The APC chairman in the district, Akinsowola Awodele, announced the suspension on Monday, May 27, in a statement supported by 12 other Exco members.

Akinsowola announced that Omogoroye was suspended for “anti-party activities and blatant disobedience to the constituent authority of the party.”

Omogoroye had threatened legal action if the party did not cancel the exercise due to alleged irregularities during the exercise.

TVC News reports that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has emerged victorious from the APC gubernatorial primaries presided over by Kogi State Governor Ahmed Ododo.

APC suspends Senator Jimoh Ibrahim

The APC district leadership in Ibrahim’s district accused Ibrahim of anti-party activities and insubordination.
