Atlantic City police investigate fatal accident on Route 50

Police responded to mile marker 56 on the west side of Route 30 about 2:53 p.m. Sunday for a car crash, police said.

Witnesses reported that the vehicle left the road while changing lanes for reasons that are still unknown, police said.

The vehicle crashed into a light pole and traffic signs.

The driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old woman from Atlantic City, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
