Emily Drive reopens after a car accident that sent 1 to the hospital

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) – An official with the Harrison County 911 Center has confirmed that Emily Drive is fully reopened after a car accident closed part of the roadway and sent one person to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) – One person was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after a car accident closed a portion of Emily Drive in Clarksburg.

According to the Harrison County 911 Media Log, emergency crews were alerted to a vehicle accident with injuries on Emily Drive at approximately 3:49 p.m. A 12 News employee near the scene determined that the accident occurred near the Chick-fil-A location. They also saw a person lying on the ground and discovered that there was a motorcycle near the scene of the accident.

An officer with the Harrison County 911 Center confirmed that one person was taken to United Hospital Center in Bridgeport for their injuries. They also said two vehicles were involved and that the right northbound lane of Emily Drive was closed as of 4:17 p.m

Crews from Anmoore EMS, Clarksburg Fire Department and Clarksburg Police Department responded to this call.
