Four public health officials suspended

MARDAN: Provincial Public Health Minister Malik Pakhtun Yar Khan on Monday suspended four health department officials for absenteeism.

The minister visited the health department. He was upset over the absence of the Mardan Divisional Health Engineering Director and the Head of Department and suspended them.

He also ordered an inquiry against them. Talking to the employees, the minister said that the people had given the mandate to the Pakistan Movement for Justice (PTI) to serve them. He said that dereliction of duty would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Later, the minister visited the Mardan Press Club. During the Meet the Press programme, he said that the PTI was not ready to accept the Form 47 government. However, he said they were ready to negotiate with anyone to get the rights of the province.
