Investigation underway after 14-year-old boy was found murdered near a Dallas park – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

A teenager was found dead in an alleyway near a park in Dallas on Monday morning, police confirmed.

At around 9:30 a.m., police responded to a welfare check after being notified of an unconscious person lying on the ground in an alleyway in the 4900 block of Mark Trail Way.

Upon arrival, Dallas Police Department officers found a 14-year-old boy dead from a gunshot wound.

The teenager’s identity has not yet been released publicly and next of kin have yet to be notified.

According to police, no information about the suspect was available as of Monday evening.
