Sheriff’s Department responds to two-vehicle accident

On Sunday evening, Geary County Sheriff’s officers responded to a crash with two injuries on the K-57 Highway at mile marker 5. Ledger J. Rose of Salina, Kansas, was driving his 2019 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on K-57 when he failed to yield the right of way and collided with a 2024 Toyota Rav 4 driven by Haily N. Zuniga of Loveland, Colorado.

The sheriff’s department said the four occupants of the Toyota were taken to Stormont Vail for medical treatment. Both vehicles were towed by Bud’s Wrecker Service.
