Report: Jared Ravizza pretended to be a model and attacked his father in April

US News

The man suspected of stabbing six people, including three children, in Massachusetts has claimed to be a male model and a CEO.

Jared Ravizza, 26, has boasted in interviews about his skills as a professional skier, model, philanthropist and head of the marketing firm he founded, the Ravizza Group.

In a gushing profile, he was described as an international “serial entrepreneur and media mogul” and a “man with an innate desire to bring out the best in other people in the most beautiful way possible,” according to beverlyhillsmagazine.com.

However, a website advertising Jared’s services as a media manager did not include any testimonials or evidence of the work the firm had done, focusing instead on glamorous selfies of the founder.

Jared is said to have stabbed four young girls aged between 9 and 17 in a cinema in Braintree and two McDonald’s employees in Plymouth before setting off a police chase that ended in an accident. He was arrested on Saturday.

His stabbing victims were all treated at local hospitals but did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

Jared is also being investigated for a murder in Connecticut, according to Boston 25 News, after police found a body in the small town of Deep River around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The identity of the victim has not been released and no charges have been filed in the case as of Monday evening.

Self-proclaimed artist Jared has been changing his appearance in his recent social media posts, wearing makeup and showing off a more feminine look. It has also been revealed that he has changed his name to Jared Love Jones.

Jared is the son of 57-year-old psychologist Jason Ravizza, who is described as a licensed mental health counselor with 35 years of experience, according to a profile on Psychologytoday.com.

Jason is also listed as co-author of a religious book titled Waging the War Within – A Devotional.

Several neighbors of the family’s home in Agawam, Massachusetts, told The Post that Jared and Jason suddenly left town about two years ago – leaving Jared’s wife, Kim, behind.

The Boston Globe reported that Jared was then arrested on Martha’s Vineyard in April and charged with assault on a family or household member and vandalism after allegedly attacking his father, according to Edgartown District Court records.

In a police report filed with the court, Jason told officers that his son had “just had a nervous breakdown and attacked him in his home,” leaving the father with marks on his face, thumb and wrist, according to police.

According to the report cited by The Globe, Jared also vandalized his father’s home office.

He was admitted to Martha’s Vineyard Hospital for psychiatric evaluation, but Jared “did not meet the standards for incarceration there,” the report said.

According to court records, diversion proceedings have been initiated in the Edgartown case, and a hearing is scheduled for November, according to The Globe.

The Post could not reach Jason or Kim for comment Monday, but neighbors said they were surprised to see Jason back at the family home in recent days, walking a black dog.

About half a dozen locals interviewed by the Martha’s Vineyard Times told the newspaper that Jared had earned a reputation on the island for bizarre and hostile public interactions.

He was known for his signature long blonde hair, his penchant for aviator sunglasses and frequent claims that he was a model in Los Angeles, the publication reported.

According to the outlet, island residents said Jared was quick to anger and often lost his mind.

Jared has been quoted in numerous previous interviews describing his love of skiing and tennis and claiming to help people with disabilities.

In 2021, he told MV Times he was a seasonal resident who claimed to run a charity called Ravizza Global Initiative.

“We spend a lot of time on the Vineyard in Massachusetts and I just want people to know how accessible I am… I also hope that this story inspires someone to start their own initiative,” he said.

“For us, this is not a program. I see it as a movement and a lifestyle… It’s a lifelong connection, a lifelong relationship, being there, being a mentor.”

The Plymouth County District Attorney said Sunday that Jared will be charged with assault with intent to murder and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon following the attack on the girls at Braintree AMC and the attack on the McDonald’s employees.

Jared has not yet confessed. He is scheduled to go to court on Tuesday.
