According to police, a woman in her 60s was killed in a collision in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District

Seattle police were called just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday for a report of a person being struck by a car near 12th Avenue South and South Weller Street. Officers found a 63-year-old woman in the street with life-threatening injuries. Police said the woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.

According to police, the driver and passenger of the vehicle involved remained at the scene of the accident and cooperated with officers. Investigators said the driver was examined and was not impaired at the time of the collision. Neither person was injured, police said.

The Traffic Accident Investigation Section (TCIS) is investigating the crash. Police said anyone with information should contact TCIS at 206-684-8923.
