At the beginning of the interview, she expressed her feelings about how they are coping with the loss of Anish, saying, “It is very difficult for a mother to describe the feeling when her son is no longer with her. It was a very sad time for me. I cannot come to terms with the fact that my son is no longer with me.”

She then spoke about the arrest of two doctors accused of tampering with blood samples and switching the samples of the 17-year-old boy to get a negative breathalyzer test. She reiterated her faith in the ongoing investigation process and said, “I have full faith that justice will be done for my son. The Maharashtra government is following this matter closely. I am very confident that my son definitely get justice.”

Later in the interview, she explained her belief that societal change is needed following the tragic loss and stressed the collective responsibility to make meaningful reforms. She said, “There needs to be change in society, especially regarding the law that considers 16-18 year olds as minors. The law should be implemented in such a way that a child who commits such an act after the age of 16 will be tried as an adult.”
