Lawsuit against Jaguars and Brandon McManus accused of sexual assault on team flight

Brandon McManus and the Jacksonville Jaguars are under fire. According to ESPN, two women have filed a complaint against McManus, claiming the kicker sexually harassed them while the team was on its way to London to play two games abroad in 2023.

The two women were working as flight attendants on the Jaguars’ flight to London when they claimed that the footballer invaded their privacy and made unwanted sexual advances.

The flight attendants then sued McManus and filed a lawsuit against the Jaguars for failing to supervise the kicker. In the lawsuit, acquired by ESPN, the women state that this was their first and last flight working for the NFL franchise. In addition to the discomfort and embarrassment the situation caused, the women claim that they have suffered from anxiety related to the incident ever since.

McManus will not return to Jacksonville in 2024. Instead, the kicker signed a one-year, $3.6 million contract with the Washington Commanders on May 14. Since the incident became public, the Commanders have issued a statement.

“Today we were informed of the civil lawsuit filed against Brandon McManus on May 24. We take such allegations very seriously and are investigating the matter. We have communicated with the league office and Brandon’s representative and will refrain from commenting further at this time,” a Commanders spokesman said.
