Quebec police end Amber Alert after two missing children found safe and sound

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) has lifted an Amber Alert issued following the disappearance of two young children.

According to police, three-year-old Evelyne Gourgues and two-year-old Charles Gourgues were found safe and sound.

On Monday, police said they were abducted around 9:30 a.m. by 40-year-old Keven Gourgues in Saint-Vallier, Quebec. The village is located in the province’s central Chaudière-Appalaches region, about 40 kilometers east of Lévis, Quebec.

The Amber alert did not provide any information about the suspect’s relationship to the two children.
