Coroner identifies woman who died in accident on Linwood Avenue

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana (KSLA) – The name of a woman who died in a traffic accident on Linwood Avenue has now been released by the coroner.

On Monday, May 27, the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office released the identity of a woman who died in a car crash on Linwood Avenue on Sunday, May 26. The crash killed 33-year-old Nia Reed.

The accident occurred around 2:20 p.m. near the intersection of Linwood Avenue and Parker Street in Shreveport’s Caddo Heights neighborhood. According to the coroner’s office, Reed was traveling southbound when she somehow lost control of the car, veered off the road and struck a light pole. Reed was taken to Ochsner LSU Health, where she died at 2:52 p.m.

An autopsy was ordered.
