Police search for perpetrator behind subway attack in West Farms

Police are warning commuters riding the 2 train in West Farms about a man they believe could be dangerous.

A violent robber is said to be at large after beating a man on Tuesday and stealing his bag on Line 2 last week. The victim was treated at the scene by emergency services.

According to authorities, the attack occurred while the train was at the East Tremont-West Farms station.

Police are asking the public for help in locating the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
