Police: Man allegedly robbed supermarket in Petersburg

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) – The Petersburg Bureau of Police is investigating after an alleged armed robbery that occurred Sunday at the J&T Mini Mart in Petersburg.

On Sunday, May 26, at 5:55 p.m., a person was captured on surveillance cameras during an armed robbery at the J&T Mini Mart in the 2300 block of E. Washington Street.

According to police, the suspect was wearing a black ski mask, a black hoodie, red sweatpants, blue gloves, blue New Balance sneakers and a black t-shirt at the time.

To determine the identity of the suspected perpetrator, the police have released the following photo.
