Freeport police investigate shots fired into home

FREEPORT, Illinois (WIFR) – Freeport police are investigating shots fired Sunday evening that ultimately struck a home.

Officers said they responded to an alarm reporting two shots fired in the 500 block of S. Carroll at 11:19 p.m. Sunday.

Police said they found evidence that a weapon had been used in the area upon arrival. Officers are asking anyone with information to contact Freeport police at 815-235-8222.
