A man was arrested for drunk driving during a Concord Police patrol –

CONCORD, CA (May 27, 2024) – Concord Police arrested a driver on suspicion of driving under the influence during a DUI patrol on May 24.

Drivers accused of drunk driving face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, as well as having their driver’s license revoked.

Concord Police remind the public that impaired driving is not only caused by alcohol. Some prescription or over-the-counter medications can impair your ability to drive. Always follow directions and read warnings about driving or “operating heavy machinery,” which includes driving. While medical and recreational marijuana is legal, driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal.

The Concord Police Department will conduct a series of drunk driving enforcement patrols throughout the year to ensure safety on our roadways.

Funding for this DUI patrol was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
