The Atlanta Braves suffer a major blow with Ronald Acuna Jr.’s injury.

The injury bug has hit the Atlanta Braves hard during the 2024 season. Already without their ace starting pitcher Spencer Strider, they suffered another brutal blow this past weekend. All-Star outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. will now join him on the sidelines for the remainder of the season.

On Sunday, he injured his knee and tore his anterior cruciate ligament. While running on the bases, he collapsed to the ground between second and third base as his left knee buckled during a delayed steal attempt.

This is the second time in his career that Ronald Acuna Jr. has suffered a torn ACL. Three years ago, he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee while jumping to catch a ball in right field. One of the best players in baseball, this is a blow to MLB and Atlanta Braves fans.
