Upper Cape man arrested after alleged stabbings on South Shore

SANDWICH – The Plymouth District Attorney said a man who allegedly committed a stabbing over the weekend is now in custody.

Jared Ravizza of Chilmark is said to have stabbed two McDonald’s employees with a large knife at the rest stop on Route 3 in Plymouth around 7 p.m. on Saturday.

According to Massachusetts State Police, preliminary investigations indicate that Ravizza is connected to a stabbing attack on four girls at a Braintree movie theater that occurred earlier that same day.

All victims apparently suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Ravizza was later arrested in Sandwich following a chase and crash that resulted in a car fire on Cotuit Road.

He is due to appear in Plymouth District Court on Tuesday. He is charged with assault with intent to murder, among other things.
