Student from Yadadri district in Telangana state killed in accident in Florida, USA

HYDERABAD: A student from Telangana, studying at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, USA, died in a road accident.

According to reports, 25-year-old Guntipalli Sowmya was from Yadagiripalle village in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district.

Sowmya was struck by a speeding car in Florida on Sunday and died instantly. Sowmya was completing her master’s degree at Florida Atlantic University and was trying to find a job through a management consulting firm.

According to her family members, Sowmya celebrated her 25th birthday on May 11.

Sowmya’s parents Koteswara Rao and Balamani and other members of her family have requested the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in New York to assist in bringing her body back to India.
