A New York teenager is killed in a shooting in broad daylight in SoHo

NEW YORK – A teenager was shot dead in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. in the Urban Plaza area between Spring Street and Dominick Street in SoHo.

According to police, an argument apparently broke out between two groups and shots were fired.

According to police, a 16-year-old boy was hit multiple times, including twice in the leg. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he died. His identity has not yet been revealed.

According to police, the shooter rode away on his bicycle.

It is currently unknown if the victim was the intended target.

The shooting happened near Chelsea Career and Technical Education High School. Witnesses at the scene told CBS New York that the victim was a student, but police are still working to confirm that information.
